AWARENESS
We are passionate about mammals and want to share our enthusiasm for all things whiskery.
CONSERVATION
Mammals are in trouble. They are experiencing some of the most dramatic declines of any species group. We aim to support the conservation of mammal species in Somerset.
RECORDING
In order to help mammals, we need to know where they are. Recording when and where you see a mammal helps build a picture of mammal populations in the county.
OURÂ MISSION
The aim of the group is to encourage and promote awareness, conservation and recording of wild mammals in Somerset. We support and encourage recording of mammals as well as training members survey techniques and identification. The group is affiliated to the Mammal Society and works in partnership with the Somerset Environmental Records Centre (SERC).
